DDR Sponsorship Program takes off
After getting into severe debt. for treating an extraordinary amount of heartworm positive dogs and dogs with expensive surgeries, DDR Facebook Fans step up to donate what they can for these furry heartbeats and save the day.
After going to Tennessee for a week, Chey came back with photos, videos, and about 30 dogs she’d like to pull. She interacted with and took as many pictures of wonderful dogs in need of help. Knowing DDR couldn’t vet all the dogs themselves, they were all posted to the Facebook wall in hopes for donations. That’s when the fans came together to donate what they could. Several dogs are Heartworm positive and will be treated, thanks to the generous amount of donations. DDR always stands by their dogs regardless of cost and it appears our fans do the same for us. Thank you to everyone who donated and for being a loyal Facbook Fan. We truly could not do this without your help.
To view the chart to see who has been sponsored and who still needs sponsor, click here to download the DDR Sponsor Chart PDF. If you would like to sponsor a dog, just click on the PayPal button in the sidebar. Once you receive your confirmation receipt from PayPal, please forward it to Chey at cheyotto@yahoo.com with the name of the dog you would like to sponsor.

June 18, 2010: Premier of Last Chance Highway on Animal Planet
Last Chance Highway features DDR Volunteer, Shelly Bookwalter and P.E.T.S. Kyle Peterson. The show is an eight part series featuring what goes into saving dogs from the south. Shelly demonstrates the day in a life of a volunteer and what she encounters on a daily basis. Some of which includes finding an over-bred momma dog and her puppies, getting the puppies vetted only to find that one of them has a terrible disease and what goes into treating them. Once everyone is healthy, Kyle Peterson and his crew show the journey from beginning to end as they transport them up north to their forever homes. It’s an emotional experience for all and proves that there can be happy endings for those who never had a chance without these selfless people.
