I cannot explain how much our lives changed after fostering through Double Dog Rescue.

Tucker was the most amazing little fellow to have graced our lives. He would wrap his paws around me and hug me – and if I walked away he would keep walking and hugging me.

We helped find Tucker’s new family. It was so nice for us to know we had helped to find a beautiful home for him to go to. He is happy and so loved by his new family and we are overjoyed that we, through Double Dog, gave him a beautiful foster home. We are ready to do it all over again! – Rebecca Gibbs

I had been very hesitant about fostering just because I knew how hard it would be to give her/him up. But, I was so fortunate to foster Sienna- she was such a sweet girl, and knowing that I helped save her life as well as allow DDR to pull more dogs made it impossible to say no. I made such a good friend in Sienna’s new mom, Debbie, and receive updates all the time. It is one of the most rewarding experiences you can imagine. Please give it a try – you won’t be sorry! – Kathy Childs

I just started to be a foster mom and it is a truly rewarding experience. The Double Dog staff was right on the ball, easy to contact, and we got to work. My first foster dog was Gunther. I picked him up at the kennel where he was being boarded by Double Dog. Over the 3 weeks he was with us, he from a scared puppy, to one that was playful and full of life. Our second was Misty. She had been abused in the shelter. She was quiet and scared when we picked her up. By the end of our month together, she was happy, hopping and full of life. My husband and sons are very supportive. It has been a wonderful experience. – Jean Jacob
